From volunteer to training Sara Wade is ready for Senior Games

Calling all athletes, volunteers and fans!

The 2022 Oregon Senior Games are happening Aug 11-14 and 18-21 in Corvallis.

Today meet Sara Wade, and stay tuned for more stories of the great folks of the Games!

Sara Wade volunteered at last year’s games, and she’ll return to Corvallis this August as well. No surprise, as in 2021 she became awestruck by the senior athletes whose performances possibly rivaled their school days of a half century earlier.

Sara became so motivated that she began a training program. So, this year, besides dispensing T-shirts and water bottles, look for Sara to maybe compete in this year’s 50- and 100-meter sprints.
