PORTLAND, OR – Satori Men’s Chorus invites one and all to join us “By the Fireside”.  There are many people in our world, all of whom have festivals, holidays, and events during this transitional time of year.  The voices of Satori fill the air with an enchanting concert filled with joyous and reassuring music.  Music that brings you back home and to the center of each holiday event, allowing you to experience not our differences, but our similarities.

The Fireside … hearth and home … are soft and gentle reminders of days gone by; a heart’s desire to return to a safe place to be who we are, to be loved without question; a quiet place to rest and rejuvenate; a lively place to frolic and dance, to express ourselves, perhaps with silliness, yet still be respected.

With music from Phillip Phillips’ modern popular “Home”, to the hauntingly beautiful “Homeward Bound” by Marta Keen, who describes the intentions behind the piece as “…finding your true calling in life; knowing that those who love you trust that you will return…”, to Randall Thompson’s beautiful setting of Robert Frost’s “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, Satori Men’s Chorus shares these ideals by musically cozying up “By the Fireside”.  Join Satori Men’s Chorus “lightly flying through the snow”, jingling sleigh bells, and soaking up the warmth of a fire and the love of friends and family, for this start of our 29^th Season.

By settling in “By the Fireside”, the men of Satori will bring you the peace, the love, and the joy that we all yearn for at this time of year.
