Eugene Concert Choir & Orchestra, EXIGENCE, Eugene Rogers, director, guest soloists
Guest choir EXIGENCE, composed of Black and Latinx professional vocal artists, joins with the Eugene Concert Choir & Orchestra in a collaborative concert of social justice with deeply intense repertoire including Joel Thompson’s Seven Last Words of the Unarmed, “Glory” from the film Selma, and Scenes from the Life of a Martyr, oratorio on the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., by Black female composer Undine Smith Moore. EXIGENCE, directed by Eugene Rogers, is part of the Sphinx Organization whose mission is “Transforming lives through the power of diversity in the arts.”
