Downsizing or simplifying? An organizer can help

by Sherri Curley

The Practical Sort

What do professional organizers really do? We help you figure out what to keep or release.  We offer disposal options such as donation and recycling outlets.  We assist in arranging a pantry, closet, even an underwear drawer. We pack and unpack moving boxes. We declutter homes so stagers and realtors can sell houses faster and for the highest value. We help you settle into your new home so you can relax and easily find what you need.

We work with people of all ages, imparting time management skills to support ease, comfort and efficiency. Some organizers skilled with learning challenges or giftedness can help turn major obstacles into minor hurdles and even victories. We sort photos, cataloguing precious memories. We organize files for expediency. We help downsize when a home becomes too big or to prepare for a move to a senior community. We respectfully provide solace after the loss of a loved one or relationship while thoughtfully removing remnants to support the next chapter. We clear everyday clutter and even tackle hoarding situations to restore safe and comfortable living conditions.

Tech-savvy organizers create digital systems and clean up jumbled files for easy sorting and less memory storage.

Organizers call upon other organizers when help is needed for large projects or urgent timelines. We even turn to colleagues when our personal needs are beyond our abilities or skills. Had I known about professional organizers when I was on bedrest during my pregnancies, you bet I would have hired one to keep my household functioning with less stress.

Some organizers wear many hats while others are specialized. We provide a wide range of services to make life easier, to ease burdens, create comfort and improved productivity in the spaces in which clients have invested much love and money. We are here to help even in the most unlikely events, including but not limited to underwear drawers.
