Oregon Senior Games: Jennifer Toso

We celebrate the 2025 Oregon Senior Games, coming to Corvallis Aug 1-18, by featuring local participants with inspiring stories. This week, meet Pickle ball phenom , Jennifer Toso:

“I was at work one day, and an old racquetball friend came into the office,” Jennifer Toso recalls. “He asked me if I had ever played pickleball. My response was, “Pickle what?” He told me all about the game and said it was really fun. I signed up for a class through parks and recreation, and I was hooked! That was about 14 years ago, and I’ve been playing ever since.”

Despite recent bouts with breast cancer and open-heart surgery, Jennifer won gold in Women’s Competitive Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles at the 2023 Oregon Senior Games. Will she be back in Corvallis this August? “You bet!” she enthuses. “I have gold medals to defend!”
