Sports have provided a lifelong road map for Jeanie Hoffbuhr. Athletic scholarships saw her through college, and after graduation she coached volleyball and basketball. Now retired, she relaxes each winter in Arizona.

There’s an active pickleball community at her RV resort desert home. “I decided to give it a try and really liked it,” recalls Jeanie. “A couple of years ago, I started playing in tournaments, including the Oregon Senior Games, where my partner and I got the bronze medal in our age group.”

Jeanie encourages everyone interested to head to Corvallis in August. “Get out and play!” the former coach insists. “Let’s go!”
