Happy National Ugly Sweater Day!

Happy National Ugly Sweater Day!

It truly is the most joyous time of the year when we can wear the single ugliest item of clothing in our entire wardrobe. If you are looking for a way to show off your hideous holiday apparel their are plenty of opportunities coming up. An ugly sweater is one of the better ways to stay warm when you are outside viewing the procession of Christmas Ships on the Willamette or Columbia Rivers. You can find the schedule for the Columbia River here or the Willamette schedule here.

This time of year we always hope for snow. It has a way of quieting everything and slowing our life down. A few dozen people in the U.K found their lives slowed down significantly when they were all snowed in at a pub they were visiting for three days. We can think of far worse experiences than being snowed into a place with a large supply of beer and snacks, but it sounds like these folks turned being stranded into a memorable experience.

In one of our favorite local holiday traditions, the Portland Winterhawks hosted their annual Teddy Bear toss game last weekend, and thousands of Teddy Bears rained down on the ice at the Memorial Coliseum.

No matter if you are at an ugly sweater party, watching the Christmas ships, snowed in or are tossing teddy bears onto the ice, we hope you have a happy holiday season!
