Celebrate all the mystery of D.B Cooper this weekend
Happy Friday!
Next week is a notable holiday we are all excited to celebrate. I am of course talking about National Espresso Day on Nov. 23.
If you are busy making preparations for Thanksgiving, you probably need an espresso today (or 2…or 3). In addition to Thursday being Thanksgiving, Nov. 24 is D.B Cooper Day and the 50th anniversary of a mystery that has tantalize the Northwest.
On Nov. 24 1971 the legendary skyjacker jumped out of a Boeing 727 with approximately $200,000 and disappeared into the night somewhere over Southwest Washington. Neither Cooper or his money have ever been found.
This weekend the Kiggins Theater in Vancouver hosts Cooper Con, devoted to all things D.B Cooper and the mystery surrounding the events of that night. For more info on the event, or to get tickets, go here: http://coopercon2021.com/
While the Friday after Thanksgiving is considered “Black Friday” the Saturday following Thanksgiving is “Small Business Saturday.” After what has been a difficult 18 months for small businesses, supporting them is more important than ever. We encourage you especially to support advertisers in our magazine. You can flip through and see all of them here.
We wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving, however you may be celebrating this year. While family gatherings can always be a bit crazy, remember you could always be stuck spending the holiday surrounded by a pack of suspicious turkeys
